Catalytic reactivity in the hydrogenation of a cyclic anhydride to a biotin synthetic intermediate has been investigated on the basis of Lyons’ original method using Wilkinson Ru complex, revealing the high performance of DPPF and XANTPHOS diphosphines possessing wide bite angles. The results have shown a new trail for design of the corresponding asymmetric catalysts, and the potential utility of (S,S)-Et-FerroTANE and (S,S)-(R,R)-Ph-TRAP has been demonstrated. 相似文献

Imbalance condensation of diaminophenylbenzimidazole, DAPBI, with terephthaloyl chloride, TPC was conducted for the purpose
of synthesis of macromonomers, expected to be used in syntheses of aromatic polyamides with structural regularities. The products
are soluble in dimethylsulfoxide—d6, and their 1H NMR spectra indicate that all the products are carboxyl-terminated. The
signal of carboxyphenyl linked to chain ends is different from that of terephthaloyl in the 1H NMR spectra. By use of the
ratio of the signal intensity of the former to that of the latter, the number-average degree of polymerization, DP
NMR is determined. With the mole ratio in feed, DP
NMR of the product increases. The TG thermograms of the products are a multistage one. Each stage is classified by temperature
and mass loss at an inflection point. Mass loss of each stage classified by temperature at an inflection point corresponds
to mass fraction of an aromatic amide with a characteristic degree of polymerization, DP, and that is, the DP distribution of the products is roughly estimated from the TG thermograms. The DP distribution of macromonomers influences performance of aromatic polyamides with structural regularities, derived from the
macromonomers. The convenient estimation method of DP distribution by TG is useful in industries of high-performance polymers. To the knowledge, such convenient technique has

This review article summarizes our recent researches for molecular design of polyoxometalates (POMs) and their related compounds
for environmentally-friendly functional group transformations. The divacant POM [γ-SiW10O34(H2O)2]4− exhibits high catalytic performance for mono-oxygenation-type reactions including epoxidation of olefins and allylic alcohols,
sulfoxidation, and hydroxylation of organosilanes with H2O2. We have successfully synthesized several POM-based molecular catalysts (metal-substituted POMs) with controlled active sites
by the introduction of metal species into the divacant POM as a “structural motif”. These molecular catalysts can efficiently
activate H2O2 (vanadium-substituted POM for epoxidation) and alkynes (copper-substituted POM for click reaction and oxidative homocoupling
of alkynes). The aluminum-substituted POM exhibits Lewis acidic catalysis for diastereoselective cyclization of (+)-citronellal
to (−)-isopulegol. In addition, we have developed POM-based “molecular heterogeneous catalysts” by the “solidification” and

We have developed a novel synthetic method that enables us to easily synthesize metal‐capsulated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in a laboratory by using a combined technology of electrospinning‐metallization and microwave heating. These techniques greatly shorten the time for the synthesis of the CNTs in comparison with the conventional methods. TEM analysis confirmed a successful formation of the CNTs, and the resulting CNTs were multi‐walled and found to be about 25–100 nm in diameters. The products prepared by heating at 600 and 900°C exhibited less‐developed and strongly curved CNTs, whereas the products prepared by heating at 700 and 800°C relatively well‐developed long CNTs. Recently, graphene sheet is one of interesting systems to realize novel electronic properties. Especially, interaction between graphene and adsorbed oxygen molecule is very important to control electronic condition. In this paper, we employed some aromatic hydrocarbons as simple systems of graphene sheet and ab initio MO calculations were carried out to investigate inter-molecular interaction. It is found that not triplet but singlet O2 molecule have potential of chemisorption onto graphene surface. From the calculated potential energy surface (PES) for distance between benzene and O2 molecules, meta-stable structure is found at about 1.5 Å with potential barrier. In the optimized structure of its meta-stable state, structural strain can be relaxed through bending of planer benzene ring. Its energy is estimated at 70.10 kcal/mol for benzene. We also estimated the strain effects for naphthalene and pyrene molecules as larger case of graphene and they were 80.85 and 72.45 kcal/mol, respectively. 相似文献

Low-energy inverse photoelectron spectroscopy (LEIPS) and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) incorporated into the multitechnique XPS system were used to probe the ionization potential and the electron affinity of organic materials, respectively. By utilizing gas cluster ion beam (GCIB), in situ analyses and depth profiling of LEIPS and UPS were also demonstrated. The reactions of aromatic compounds and elemental chalcogens catalyzed by a copper salt with molecular oxygen as an oxidant were carried out. The reaction of 3‐substituted imidazo[1,5‐a]pyridines and elemental sulfur in the presence of CuTC (copper(I) thiophenecarboxylate) gave the corresponding bisimidazopyridyl sulfides in good to quantitative yields. The reaction proceeded even under aerobic oxidation conditions. The use of a polar solvent was crucial for the reaction, and DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) in particular stimulated the reaction. The reaction could be applied to common aromatic compounds, such as N‐methyl indole and dialkyl anilines. The reaction of indole proceeded at the nucleophilic C3 position rather than at the acidic C2 position. In addition, the reaction of dialkyl anilines proceeded with an ortho, para orientation. The reactions of imidazopyridines and elemental selenium under similar conditions gave the corresponding bisimidazopyridyl diselenides along with bisimidazopyridyl monoselenides. The resulting diselenides were readily converted to the corresponding monoselenides with unreacted imidazopyridines under the same conditions. The reaction could be applied to the copolymerization of bifunctional bisimidazopyridines and elemental sulfur to give oligomeric copolymers in quantitative yield. 相似文献

We have previously reported a potent neuraminidase inhibitor that comprises a carbocyclic analogue of zanamivir in which the hydrophilic glycerol side chain is replaced by the hydrophobic 3‐pentyloxy group of oseltamivir. This hybrid inhibitor showed excellent inhibitory properties in the neuraminidase inhibition assay (Ki=0.46 nM ; Ki (zanamivir)=0.16 nM ) and in the viral replication inhibition assay in cell culture at 10?8 M . As part of this lead optimization, we now report a novel spirolactam that shows comparable inhibitory activity in the cell culture assay to that of our lead compound at 10?7 M . The compound was discovered serendipitously during the attempted synthesis of the isothiourea derivative of the original candidate. The X‐ray crystal structure of the spirolactam in complex with the N8 subtype neuraminidase offers insight into the mode of inhibition. 相似文献
